The location of this retro hotel was great! It was close to public transportation, making it very easy to get around and explore the city. The dinner provided by the hotel was excellent and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed using the onsens, which were clean and had a variety of different temperatures to choose from.
The hotel lacked English support, which made communication somewhat challenging at times. Although the staff was friendly and helpful, we had difficulty understanding the menu at dinner and breakfast, which made it hard to know what we were eating. Additionally, the rooms were a bit outdated and could benefit from some modernization.

The hotel is situated by a stunning river and a short walk from the station. the rooms are spacious and spotless with western beds and traditional tatami areas. the kaiseki-style dinner and breakfast with multiple dishes are mouth-watering. the large closet, kettle, teas, and snacks in the room are a lovely touch.
It would be helpful if the hotel had clearer directions available online, as finding it without the hotel pin code or specific bus stop numbers can be challenging.
